33. Title: Drilling Fluid Specialists (Corpus Christi, TX – Midland, TX – Oklahoma City, OK – Bakersfield, CA)

Company Overview: A global company that is a vital part of the world’s hydrocarbon exploration and production industry. They are the leading supplier of drilling fluid systems engineered to optimize drilling performance by delivering new and unique fluid chemistries, enhanced solids control engineering, specialty tools, completion fluids and production chemicals all designed to deliver drilling and completion solutions to the oil and gas industry.

Description: Looking to hire candidates for positions as Drilling Fluid Specialists. For these jobs you will be trained to provide on-site services to oil company operators by measuring, testing, and supervising the drilling fluids system. In the course of this job you will also oversee the fluid mixing and pumping while on the drilling rig. In addition you are required to maintain technical records, inventories and accurate costing of the project; all while making specific recommendations for maintaining the fluid specifications. On occasion you may also accompany sales representatives on special projects.

In order to bring you up to speed, the company will invest $50,000 for each new hire sending them to an intense, 3 month training school in Houston TX. Once you graduate from this course you will have a LIFETIME CAREER in the oil and gas industry as these jobs are of high demand.

When an operator drills a well, along with the bit, “specific drilling fluids” must be in the hole with the bit. The drilling fluid, its amount, consistency, etc. is dependent on what is in the hole/ground/under the water. Fluid drilling specialists must be trained to be able to do their job which is monitoring, and testing the fluids in the hole along with what is coming up from the ground. It’s a MENTAL rather than a physical job, and once you know what you are doing, you will have a lifetime career in the oil and gas industry.

You will work on a rig for two weeks and then have two weeks off. The company requires that you stay at the rig site for the two week-on period – they will supply housing during this time. Essentially, you will be working 26 weeks a year and getting paid for a full year! You must live within a one hour drive of the company location in each city. This position comes with a company vehicle, lap top, and expense account.

Requirements: To qualify for this job, you MUST pass a basic algebra and chemistry test, pass a physical and drug screen. We are looking for strong performers, honorably discharged from the US Military after July 1, 2010. You must be able to start work by September 15, 2011.

Salary and Benefits: These are salaried exempt position. Depending on your background and experience, starting salary is around $45,000 - $51,000 per year, with VERY favorable growth opportunities up to $90,000 - $100,000 within 2 to 3 years depending on how well you perform. As a Drilling Fluid Specialist, you will be working on land rigs for shifts of two weeks on the rig and two weeks off.

An additional benefit – along with all the company benefits is that at some point in time, have the ability to work almost anywhere in the world/US that appeals to you, be it Norway, Brazil, Australia, etc.

How to Apply: Go to www.TeamTrident.com click on “Jobs” and Select Job Code 490 or email your resume to jobs@teamtrident.com for job 490.
