Job description:
ALATEC is seeking instructors for the Sergeant Major Course (SMC) at Ft. Bliss, TX who want to work in a challenging, professional environment committed to national security and soldier safety. Instructors will educate Sergeant’s Major and Master Sergeants in full spectrum operational and strategic operations preparing them to take positions throughout the Department of Defense. The SMC builds on the students core competency areas coupled with in-depth instruction in Organizational Leadership, Planning, Joint Functions, and Decision-Making, to produce an able, flexible, leader poised to be the right soldier at the right time.
• Conduct instruction as defined in the SMC Program of Instruction (POI) and TRADOC Reg. 350-70
• Routinely review and make suggestions for revision and enhancement of quality course curriculum
• Provide in-depth advice, counsel, mentoring, and assistance to SMC students
• Lead After Action Reviews (AARs) and conduct evaluations (written and oral) of all lesson plans, POIs, materials, and general SMC execution
• Prepare and administer Academic Evaluation Reports (AERs)
• Instructors shall present themselves as role models demonstrating value-based, professional behavior, and have high standards of appearance

Experience Required:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat Adobe programs
• Must have a current, working understanding of: FM 1-0, Human Resources Support; FM 3-0, Operations; FM 5-0, The Operations Process; and be able to reference Army Lessons Learned through the Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL)
• Must be competent in the Contemporary Operating Environment tactical doctrine and possess a thorough understanding of military operations from company to corps levels and be able to develop lesson plans using this knowledge
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, with strong facilitation, presentation, and classroom management skills
• Must be able to effectively assess student learning and comprehension

Experience Desired:
- Combat experience as a Sergeant Major or Command Sergeant Major is highly desired

Education:
• Previous graduate of the Sergeant Major Academy (SMC) or Equivalent Course (i.e. ILE or CGSC)
• Bachelor’s Degree required and must show proof of enrollment in a Master’s program
• If not previously obtained, must be certified IAW TR 350-70 Instructor Standards (Individuals with previous military or DA Civilian certifications may already meet partial qualification standards)

The business analyst works with the software development, business process and information management teams to develop products and services to meet the client’s business needs. Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, process details, user interface guides, and functional specification documents. Senior SQL DBA – North of Denver, CO. Responsibilities: Responsible for installation, configuration, customization, maintenance and performance tuning of associated server based products including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. Monitor database server capacity/performance and make infrastructure and architecture recommendations to management for necessary changes/updates. Perform database optimization, administration and maintenance (partitioning tables, partitioning indexes, indexing, normalization, synchronization, job monitoring, etc). Establish best practices for T-SQL scripting and encouraging development teams to follow these practices via mentorship and training. Work with internal IT operations teams to troubleshoot network and server issues and optimize the database environment. Required Skills/Background: Strong PROVEN skills/experience in optimization, database sizing, capacity planning, back up, recovery, and automation of database related processes and alerts. 5+ years of experience as a MS SQL Server Database Administrator managing (at a minimum) SQL - Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 databases. - 3+ years of experience managing tools in the MS Business Intelligence Stack (i.e. SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) . Responsibilities: Utilizing Primavera P6 - assist in the planning, reporting and control of costs and schedules for projects which are in the integrated master schedule. Process Architect – Downtown Denver, CO. The Job: This is a Technical Position for someone who has the ability to communicate well with internal customers to access needs and recommend changes and processes to better the business and service. The person in this role will integrate business process management functional expertise and experience with business objectives to design and deliver practical business process driven solutions. The individual filling this role will plan and manage both redesign and incremental improvement projects and lead business process improvement team. The process architect facilitates process teams through complex problem solving or process improvement, modeling the use of LEAN, Six Sigma or similar improvement methodologies. • Manages daily processes to include:

• Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements and reports. Performs additional analysis for explanation as required.

• Assists the CFO/Controller managing the company’s external auditors at year-end to include schedule preparation and the provision of supporting documentation and procedures.

• Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material, updating records as necessary.

• Assists with the maintenance and application of internal controls.

• Prepares personal property tax returns annually.

• Performs other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Accounting and a minimum of 4 years progressive general accounting experience. Public accounting experience is preferred but is not required. The candidate will be proficient in MS Office (Excel, in particular) and an account/financial records keeping system. Microsoft Dynamic Nav experience is strongly preferred but is not required. Detailed understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required. The candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong customer service skills. They will require effective oral and written communications skills with all levels of the organization (including management, peers, team members, and customers). Strong organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to multi-task and have an analytical thought process.
