SUMMARY:

DUTIES:

• Creates/edits SOPs oversees and implements medical business elements
• Creates/edits SOPs, oversees and ensures patient tracking and patient
administration activities
• Creates/edits SOPs and ensures IT/Emergency systems; ensures all are
configured correctly to meet security, operational and regulatory
requirements
• Creates/edits SOPs and oversees logistic operation for multiple clinics
and hospital requirements for geographically separated facilities
• Creates/edits SOPs and implements fully functional security plans for all
facilities meeting all standards
• Creates/edits all in and patient records/patient appointing and other
patient administration duties and ensures HIPAA compliance of any protected
health information.
• Oversees medical equipment maintenance and repair activities for entire
network
• Assists with medical contingency planning as required

EDUCATION:
• BS/BA in a health related field
• Masters degree in Health Care Administration from an accredited
institution

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
No less than 12 years of varied health care administration experience
• 3 years of direct medical logistics experience
• 2 years of direct medical IT experience
• 2 years of direct health records and patient administration
• Knowledge of medical facility management

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Examines, diagnoses, and treats by surgical means, diseases and injuries.
Perform general surgery; examples would be, uncomplicated abscess,
appendicitis, hernia, wound debridement, breast biopsy, removal of skin
lesions, ingrown toe nails, and similar surgeries that normally allow return
to home within 72 hours. Manage the full range of emergency surgical cases
including vascular, neurologic, orthopedic and soft-tissue, as well as the
full-range of general surgical cases including abdominal, urologic, vascular
and soft-tissue. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data
through interviews. Examines patient and determines x-ray examinations and
clinical laboratory tests required. Interprets test results and evaluates
examination findings. Determines procedures for preoperative and
postoperative care, such as administering sedatives, prescribing diets, and
preparing operative area of patient. Coordinates surgical operation with
anesthesiologist. Administers and prescribes such conservative measures of
treatment as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses. Treats patients suffering
from surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhages, and other complications.
Formulates plans and procedures for surgery services. Directs support staff
in procedures for preoperative and postoperative care of patients and
operating room techniques.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

* Formulates clinical plans and procedures for operating outpatient and
inpatient surgical services within US standards
* Assists in coordinating medical contingency planning and training of
personnel
* Oversees the transfer of patients when necessary between facilities within
Iraq and when required to move a patient to a medical facility outside the
country
* Performs peer review and participates in quality activities
* Leads medical personnel during contingency occurrences, i.e. mass
casualties
* Instructs medical and non-medical personnel
* Determines needs for, and advises on kind and quantity of surgical medical
supplies and equipment
* Recommend medical and health policies to avoid injury and the spread of
disease
* Carries out duties and responsibilities consistent with SOPs, laws and
regulations.
EDUCATION:

* Requires an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
* Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program
* 4 years of related experience as a General Surgeon
* Current US or Canadian Board certification in General Surgery.

MINIMAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

* Minimum of 4 Years of experience as a General Surgeon post board
certification
* U.S. or Canadian board certified or recently ABS qualified General Surgeon
with interest, training and experience managing the full range of emergency
surgical cases including vascular, neurologic, orthopedic and soft-tissue,
as well as the full-range of general surgical cases including abdominal,
urologic, vascular and soft-tissue.

BENEFITS:
These positions are temporary and intermittent and you would only work during disaster declarations when there is a need. You will be paid only during times of deployment. You will be paid sick leave based on every 20 hrs in a pay status you will earn one hour, up to four hours each pay period. There are no other benefits associated with a Disaster Assistance Employee position.

Job description: The Administrative Assistant (Receptionist) will be responsible for performing basic level administrative support tasks. The chosen candidate, with general supervision, will be capable of assisting Sr. level and/or general administrative personnel in varying facets of administration. Follows established procedures, and solves routine problems.

Other responsibilities will include the following components:
