The Lead HVAC Technician performs all essential HVAC maintenance and general maintenance at the Wayne Aspinall Federal Bldg, Grand Junction, Colorado. This position will require a flexible working schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (duties and responsibilities and percentage of time spent performing functions).
The Lead HVAC Technician conducts, but is not limited to, the following job duties:
• PRIMARY DUTIES:
o Performs the maintenance, diagnostic testing, overhauling, installation, and effects repairs on a large variety of types of refrigeration, dehumidification, air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems equipment which serves critically controlled environmental installations
o Researches specifications as provided by other parties and makes installation corrections required ensuring proper function of equipment as required by tenant agency requirements
o Must be able to operate building Energy Management Systems and perform water treatment analysis and chemical control of HVAC systems
o Responsible for all service calls and all preventive maintenance work orders assigned
o Responsible for all paperwork associated with his/her daily work and that of the HVAC technician
• SECONDARY DUTIES:
o Minor building maintenance tasks, which must be performed to proficiency, are listed herein by example, but are not limited to the following: Makes minor adjustment and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sewage systems; architectural and structural building components; interior and exterior entrance doors; all door locks, windows, floors systems, roof systems, roof gutters, downspouts, window and floor coverings
o Performs cleaning/painting and maintaining of mechanical rooms in assigned building
o Performs minor touch-up painting chores consistent with preventive maintenance functions and minor repairs
o Performs minor preventive maintenance functions which include, but are not limited to: Changing filters; cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils; cleaning floor drains, grease traps, roof gutters, downspouts; and changing fluorescent tubes and other light bulbs where needed
o Performs miscellaneous functions that include, but are not limited to: assemble and disassemble "systems furniture;" remove and install signs and picture frames; assist in relocating furniture and computers; and performs other similar duties
• ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
o Responsible for emergency after hour call backs determined by GSA Facility coordinator and all other assigned duties not to exceed technical level of HVAC Technician



QUALIFICATIONS (what is required to perform the job, i.e. education, experience,

• Necessary specialized training in HVAC
• Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as volt-meters, ammeters, amp-probes, temperature testers, leak detectors, CO2 testers, vacuum gauges, and mega-meters
• Must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination
• Must also have knowledge in general maintenance for all systems, equipment, and devices located in typical a typical multi-story commercial office building
• Must have practical working experience with a variety of skilled craft trades and be able to understand written and oral instructions to perform the required work
• Must have a basic knowledge of each craft trade, which perform the individual functions for building operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. These include electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and communication systems

• Must have a working knowledge of other trades such as: sheet metal; fire dampers, zone control, airflow volume and velocity and damper linkages, plumbing; water and steam supply, drainage, gravity systems, condensate, water make up evaporation and human protection systems, electric; circuit breakers, relays, solenoids, transformers, timers, electromagnetic contactors, vacuum tubes, motors and motor controls and overload protection devices
• Must be proficient in all types of soldering and brazing


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES (requirements to perform job satisfactorily, i.e. basic computer or math skills, or specific software knowledge, 10-key/calculator skills, or ability to read and write English, or ability to reason/problem solve, etc.):
• Must have basic computer skills to write reports and develop spread sheets

This individual will assume primary responsibility for the continuing development of an online application written for a government agency. The application, currently in its third major revision, is a Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) app, delivered over the public Internet (with restrictions) from a server hosted at the contractor's facilities.

Responsibilities:
Maintain the existing codebase, addressing bugs, documenting changes, and maintaining source code in a private repository.
Design, develop, test and launch new features, in collaboration with the contract team and the agency.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Experienced in providing expert support in the integration of the disciplines associated with full-spectrum IO and IO-related activities, including IA and OPSEC, to 1st IO Cmd-supported Army force components and subordinate headquarters, the 1st IO Cmd, and the Army and joint Service IO communities. Support includes IO planning, training, and execution in support of garrison operations, field and command post exercises, field and laboratory experimentation tests, and evaluations and experimental development, and contingency crisis actions. Prepares operations/evaluation/assessment plans and annexes for IO, IA, intelligence and security, and VA support. Supports the Army and Joint Service IO communities with the development and review of IO doctrine, requirements, and policy. Provides expert analysis of information and information systems operations, security, accreditation, and risk assessment. Provides technical direction and guidance to less-experienced personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a current TS/SCI
AA Degree; Bachelors is strongly preferred
MS Word and Power Point literate
Experience in IO is a plus
Direct TRADOC experience and expertise are a big plus Military Operations experience a plus General understanding of the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) Combat arms background and Operations experience are a big plus.
Individual must be able to work effectively as a team member.
